Are you ready to ride like a pro and experience the Gila Monster Gran Fondo?
This exceptional ride is planned for Oct. 13, 2018, in the gorgeous cool mountains of Silver City, New Mexico. Set your goal, have lots of fun, and enjoy a weekend away, while you become “Gila Proven” with courses covering 115, 78 and 40 mile journeys*. From the amateur and recreational cyclists to those avid cyclists, the Gila Monster Gran Fondo is fun yet has a competitive edge too.
The course follows the iconic Tour of the Gila “Gila Monster” road race, covering some of the most stunning routes in New Mexico. The Gran Fondo and Medio Fondo rides will start from Q’s Southern Bistro in downtown Silver City and finish just inside Silver City. The shorter distance Nano Fondo riders will start at Camp Thunderbird, with shuttle service from town, and finish at the same location as the the Gran and Medio Fondos just inside Silver City**.

Look forward to a first-class experience. Roving sag wagons and additional well-appointed rest stations will provide extra support to get you to that finish line and enhance your experience. More signage is also being provided this year. As you roll into the finish line, join participants, friends, and family for podium awards and a great party in downtown Silver City at Q’s Southern Bistro.
Whether riding with your friends or racing your friends, become “Gila Proven” in one of the most challenging, but fun rides anywhere. You might even find yourself on a podium with a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place finish for men and women for each course length. All riders, families, and friends welcome. Registration includes event beer glass, t-shirt, party Saturday night at Q’s Southern Bistro, 2 free pints of beer, and a great SWAG bag.
Ride cost is $100 per person, $110 after Oct. 6. No refunds after Oct. 8. Packet pick-up will be on Friday, Oct. 12, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Gila Hike & Bike, 103 E. College. Packet pick-up and late registration will be available at 7 a.m. at course start area, near Q’s Southern Bistro and Gila Hike & Bike on Oct. 13.
